REVIEW: The Other Life by Susanne Winnacker

The Other Life by Susanne Winnacker

Plot:
3 years, 1 month, 1 week and 6 days since I’d seen daylight. One-fifth of my life. 98,409,602 seconds since the heavy, steel door had fallen shut and sealed us off from the world

Sherry has lived with her family in a sealed bunker since things went wrong up above. But when they run out of food, Sherry and her dad must venture outside. There they find a world of devastation, desolation...and the Weepers: savage, mutant killers.

When Sherry's dad is snatched, she joins forces with gorgeous but troubled Joshua - an Avenger, determined to destroy the Weepers.

But can Sherry keep her family and Joshua safe, when his desire for vengeance threatens them all?

My review:

The other life is a great read, I read it in one sitting...
Even though I'm a big romance reader, this book was still fantastic...the romance bit was little but I didn't mind because the story was so incredible that I didn't need much romance...

The Characters:
-Sherry: She was strong and brave even though she doesn't even know how to fire a gun to save her life, but she still gave her life up to save someone else's.
-Joshua: He was dangerous (in a HOT way), good looking and all that stuff...he was understanding and had problems of his own...He's trying to protect everybody by keeping his problems to himself (so he doesn't worry everybody) but sometimes that isn't the best thing to do...and that all changes when he met Sherry. Joshua knew how to fire a gun (unlike Sherry lol) and fight the monsters even though he was terrified deep inside. He was brave and strong like Sherry... (and to be honest, they would be a great couple for real)
-The family: They were supporting even though Sherry's brother, Bobby, was a bit annoying and he was just full of himself. Her mum, little sister was supporting her all the way through even though they were worrying too much (but that's what families do)

I gave this book a 10 because the way Susanne described the fights and the feelings that travel around the Safe-Haven...Her words were capturing and addictive, I could not put the book down...I finished this book in about 2 hours at night...for people that haven't read this book yet...YOU HAVE TO READ THIS!
