REVIEW: Off Sides by Sawyer Bennett

Off Sides by Sawyer Bennett

Plot:

Ryan Burnham is the privileged son of a U.S. congressman and captain of his university's hockey team. While he is on the verge of fulfilling his dream to play in the NHL, his parents wants him on a different course. One he is expected to accept for the sake of his family's public image.
Forced to abandon her music career after the heart breaking deaths of her parents, Danny Cross exists on the opposite side of the tracks from Ryan. She is struggling to make her own way, working two jobs, attending college part time and volunteering in a homeless shelter. She is on a mission to build her own success.
With a chance meeting, their vastly different worlds collide, causing each to evaluate whether they are truly on the right paths to self-fulfilment and happiness. Can their relationship survive? Especially when others are against them every step of the way. A lot can happen in 10 short days...

My review:

Off Sides is a story about happiness and true love. Ryan plays hockey, the type of guy who you would find hot and wants to 'do' him. But he all he wants is to fulfil his dream.
Danny Cross (Daniella Cross) works two jobs, helping a homeless shelter and goes to college part-time. To you guys, that might be a lot, but for her, it's life. She lost her music career when her parents died in a tragic car accident. Since then, she'd never been the same.
When Ryan and Danny meet, sparks fly and worlds collide. But it's hard when Ryan is the son of the U.S congressman.
The story was easy going, the characters were well explained, well liked and even loved. The story takes on a lot of courses and i loved it.
Everything wasn't too fast or too slow, it went well. I loved the way Ryan's friends looked after Danny like they were close (I wish I had someone that does that to me).
Sawyer did everything right. The story wasn't too heavy, wasn't too light, it was just ... enjoyable.
I started it and couldn't put it down. I kept going until I finished it and woke up late the next morning :) .
I cannot wait for what Sawyer has in store next.... :)
